Apowersoft Screen Recorder 2.4 Released

Recently, the Screen Recording Suite, develop by Apowersoft, has released its latest version –Screen Recording Suite 2.4, which aims to enable you record video from computer screen with more convenience.

Although the previous version can help people record video from screen with high quality, this program still continuous update and improve to satisfy your special need, this is why 2.4 comes.

New added features of Screen Recording Suite 2.4

1. Create schedule task

The previous version can keep on recording until you manually click “Stop” button or stop recording hotkey. If you don’t stop on time, you will definitely get some clips that you don’t desire.

What’s more, people can’t sit in front of computer screen all the time to wait for it finish recording. Sometimes, you may need to go out to deal with some urgency while your recording don’t finish. Therefore, some people wonder if there is a way can help them record video in programmed time, so that they can do other things during recording, such as take a snap.

Base on this condition, the Screen Recording Suite add the function to create schedule task. You can set the start time and the duration of the recording, then it will start and stop recording on time. You can check “Shut down after recording” option button and it will close the computer when the recording duration expired. This function enables people to make full use of time when recording, rather than stay before computer.

How to create schedule task

Step 1: click “Create schedule task” on the product interface.

Step 2: input the task name, start time and duration. You can click button or input value to choose the start time and duration.

Step 3: choose recording area by clicking “Record full screen” or “Record custom area”. If you choose latter, you can press “Select region” tab and drag your mouse to choose recording area. You can also input value the set the width and height.

Step 4: click “Create” button, your task will appear in the task list, and click “OK” button. Then you can see the hints on the product interface. And the program will record according to your settings.

Then you can see you task on the bottom of the main interface, and it displays countdown hint to remind you how long the task will start.

2. Customize recording area when record around mouse

The previous version of Screen Recording Suite has the function to record video around mouse, which enable people to see every screen action clearly. While this function is workable to the whole screen, can’t strengthen the key point.

Therefore, we improved the function and make people can customize recording area when choose “record around mouse” recording mode. You can go “Options” → “MISC” to customize the region for recording around mouse. Drag selection handle, input value in blank, or click up or down arrow key for the width and height of the area. You can check “Preview” to view the area in a red rectangle, and the screen action within this area can be record around mouse.

Check “Show region settings before recording”, you should customize the area to record around mouse. If you don’t, the program will directly start to record according to your previous settings of the “Region around the mouse”.

3. Add MISC setting tab

As the improvement of the program, it has more functions. The new added tab is especially provided for user to customize settings for “Region around mouse” and “change windows appearance during recording”. We have already known about “Region around mouse” in function 2, here I would like to explain “Change windows appearance during recording”.

There are three check boxes under “Change windows appearance during recording”; I will illustrate them one by one.

Disable screen saver: when you record in a long time, the screen will switch to the screen saver, which covers the original video, and you can record the video you want. Check this option, it will disable screen saver, and you can record the video without being covered by screen saver.

Hide desktop icons: if you don’t want to show your program icon on computer screen when recording, check this option, and all your program icons will disappear during recording.

Auto-hide the taskbar: once checked this option, it will automatically hide the program you were running from taskbar when recording.

Since there are check boxes, you can choose all of them at the same time to record video from computer screen according to your special needs.

4. Pause and resume your recording anytime

The Screen Recording Suite 2.4 adds the function to pause and resume your recording. With this function, you can click “Pause” when necessary. During your recording, when you encounter the scene you dislike, you can click “Pause” button, and the program will stop recording temporarily; when you want to record, click “Resume”, and it will start recording again. Set hotkey for pause recording in “Options”.

5. Adjust hot spot of your mouse cursor

Hot spot of the mouse can vividly strengthen the actions you made on screen when recording. The adjustable hot spot size can meet your special needs in deferent circumstance. Drag selection handle to view the mouse hot spot size.

6. UI adjustment

As the Screen Recording Suite2.4 adds some function, so the user interface changes correspondingly. The main interface is reasonably divided into several parts according to its function, which can better direct users to make full use of the program and make better user experiences.
